The SQUINT
The colonial influence of France and Britain, on Canada, spanned from mid-15th Century up-to the 19th Century. This era was characterized by an evolving pocket watch market. Notable designers from France include Nicholas Forfaict and Jean-Antoine Lépine, and from England we have Thomas Tompion.
The Squint portrays Canada's European legacy by taking its cue from the watch designs of this colonial era which were characterized by simple and classic watches, best described as timeless pieces. The interplay of the three levels of the interior depicts a simple but yet sophisticated European style.
