Founded in Ottawa by designer and artist Éluu Goddiâ, the brand draws deeply from the city’s multicultural fabric, using watches as a medium to explore themes of transition, identity, and shared meaning.
At launch, the brand introduces two collections — the ACIZEM Enygmah and the ACIZEM Olive Coin — but the focus is clearly on the former, which serves as the brand’s conceptual and aesthetic anchor.
The Enygmah: Design As A Reflection Of Reinvention
The Enygmah collection is framed around transformation, not in a literal or overtly symbolic way, but through layered design choices that suggest movement and progression. According to the brand, the watch is inspired by individuals who have left familiar lives behind and rebuilt in new environments, a narrative that resonates with the broader immigrant experience, and more broadly, with anyone who has had to start again.
Rather than translating that idea into obvious visual cues, the Enygmah expresses this paradox through its construction. The dial balances structured geometry with subtle asymmetry, while layered textures and a sub-seconds display introduce depth and a sense of forward motion.
